Electric Cars in Ireland whatever next? What happens when dealers can't sell petrol or diesel cars anymore? Trade in values for your current flashy petrol/diesel 2019 car will plummet, there will be a glut of these cars in the second hand market and dealers won't want to hold on to their stock for long. Petrol and Diesel will no doubt be more expensive as Garages sell less and have to make more money from what they sell. By that time we might have an electricity grid that can keep up with demand, and also take some feeds from Solar panels we may one day afford to have on our home. Anyone come up with a leasing plan for these yet? It would be great to at least partially charge our cars with the free source of energy we only enjoy when we go on holiday! And by then Tesla might be making enough of these beauties for us to be able to afford one, and batteries won't need the scarce metals that today power our must have carriages.
